| ABOUT MICHAEL
D. LARSEN I’ve lived in
Santa Rosa since age 16 after years of moving around
with my military family. I studied at Harvard
University and obtained a degree in history in 1982,
and then went on to the University of Chicago, where
I received my Juris Doctor in 1985.
I specialized in business law and joined several
firms in San Francisco and Palo Alto. Because of my
many moves as a youngster – which included time in
Germany – I’ve always had a special interest in
Europe. This interest pulled me to France. I lived
in Paris from 1988 to 1992 and consulted in American
language and law.
Upon my return to California in
1992, I practiced workers’ compensation at Brayton
Law Offices in Novato for three years and then
opened my own practice in Santa Rosa. I specialize
in wills and trusts, business law, and taxation.
Regarding wills and trusts, I represent private
individuals and business owners. Because of my
5-year stay in France, I can be especially helpful
to French nationals who are married to U.S.
citizens, or to U.S. citizens with property in
France. My typical client in business is a
corporation or LLC with 1 – 15 employees based in
the greater Bay Area.

I’m married to a French
national, Milouda, and we live in Santa Rosa
with our children Zachary and Lela. The
language we speak at home is French, but I
also read, write and speak German and have
good knowledge of Spanish.

What I enjoy most about my
practice is using my unique combination of
mathematical- analytical qualities and love of
language to help people with “cross border” issues
in wills and trusts and to create wealth for
business owners. A good listener and communicator, I
make it my top priority to forestall problems before
they occur.

Practice page for details of my services.
